Eiteljorg Museum
Start your road trip right in Indianapolis with a little bit of culture. The Eiteljorg Museum is a fabulous place to explore if you want to learn more about Western Art and Native American culture. On top of various exhibitions, the museum also has a selection of workshops and a cafe where you can grab a bite. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
Saddlebrook Golf Club
If you are a golfer, then we know the perfect stop on your way to Zionsville! Saddlebrook Golf Club is a fabulous 18-hole course where you can practice your swing in a relaxing atmosphere. The rates are also incredibly reasonable for the value you’re getting. The nine-hole section costs $20 per adult, and the full 18 costs only $22. You can also have lunch at the course. The Grandstand Grill offers delicious chicken wings, quesadillas, soups, salads, and fresh beverages.
Eagle Creek Park
Before you reach your destination, stop for a leisurely walk at Eagle Creek Park. It’s one of the largest municipal parks in the country and offers 3,900 acres of lush forest, meadows, and ponds. It’s the breath of fresh air you need to start your vacation on the right foot! If you pack a blanket, you can also spend some time reading on the grass or even taking a nap.
