Front Desk Associate / Innkeeper

Overview:
We are looking for a charismatic individual with a passion for hospitality to work the front-desk at The Brick Street Inn. This role will require a high level of communication with both hotel guests and team members. This individual should be up for a constantly changing and high paced environment. This person must also have a “can-do” attitude and be willing to help where is needed. The ideal candidate must be willing to work until 8pm some nights.

Location: Indianapolis Metropolitan Area, The Brick Street Inn, Zionsville, IN

Responsibilities and Duties:
– Manning the registration “front desk”
– Manage reservations through reservation software system
– Answering phone calls, checking in/out guests, and helping out with operational behind-the-scene needs
– Assist in housekeeping needs when necessary
– Act as a concierge for guests, and be willing to give them recommendations of local area

Requirements:
– Ability to walk up and down the stairs and lift over 35 pounds
– Passionate about the hospitality industry and helping people
– Previous hotel experience is ideal but not necessary
– Energetic, motivated and dedicated
– Comfortable interacting with guests
– Well organized

Housekeeper

The Brick Street Inn is seeking full-time and part-time housekeepers. We are a boutique hotel located on the quaint Main Street of historical Zionsville.

Responsibilities include:
• Clean guest rooms, guest bathrooms, hallways, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas so that high standards are met.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers as needed
• Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using designated cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Sort bed linens, load washing machines/dryers, and iron and fold dried items.

Qualifications:
• Housekeeping experience.
• Housekeeping experience in a hotel/inn is preferred
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Be able to stand for long periods.
